Terri Anne McAdams

Terri McAdams was 22 and a student at the University of Texas at Arlington. She had gone to her fiancé’s apartment at about 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 13, 1985, to bake him a Valentine’s Day cake. He was out of town on a business trip, and she was supposed to pick him up at the airport the next day. Terri was still in his apartment after 10:30 that night when an intruder forced open the sliding glass door that led from the patio. The man raped her, beat her to death, and took the $5,000 engagement ring from her finger. Her killer left a unique shoe print in the soft dirt outside the patio door. Terri’s body was discovered by apartment maintenance workers the next day.
